Hello!
I´ve installed the oem quick shifter in my viffer and couldn´t be happier!
I think it works great, sometimes not so smooth, but for hard accelerations it´s the best and a good bang for the buck to 😁
Cheers, V4 Rider

Hi All.
Hope I'm not losing my marbles, but it appears to me the Service Manual seems to be off the download list!
...giving VFR riders the whole 'Yo, me too' enthusiastic wave when I'm riding the Futura... 🙄
I have a Daugherty Motorsports ( DMr ) Fork Cartridge Kit as well as a DMr upgrade to my OEM shock. I just got to ride today with both the front and rear upgrades installed.
My ride of 435 Mi covered some of my favorite ( and challenging ) twisty roads north of Charlotte NC. Some of the chosen roads were smooth. Others were bumpy and
poorly paved. My new setup didn't care. Pick a line and the VFR held the line. Even when there were bumps in the corner, no problem. This has to be one of the best upgrades
I've done to this bike. One word...BUTTER !!!
I would highly recommend dropping Jamie Daugherty a line . I've noticed other generation VFR owners have also raved about Mr. Daugherty's suspension
tuning expertise.

Hi All
I have had one of my OEM panniers crack. The crack is in the outer painted shell and is near to the hinge so will become a structural issue if I try to use it. Does anyone know if you can buy spare parts for panniers or will I have to buy a new set. Or indeed does anyone provide a repair service? I am in the UK.
Thanks very much
Pete
Hello guys,
Please if someone can tell me what kind of engine we have in our HONDA VFR 800 2014?
Information about gas norms...
Is the bike EURO 3 or EURO 4?
Hey all, I’m buying another bike tomorrow and I’ve rented a pickup truck to get it. What’s the best way to strap it down in the back? What kind of straps do I need? Can’t wait to give my VFR a garage mate - LOL
Hello guys,
can someone explain me what is difference between engine 2002-2009 and 2014-2017 ?
Thanks
I'm only at about 3500 miles on my stock Dunlops, but on the rear I notice the indicators near the center are getting very close... The edges are great. The front is wearing more in the center, too, but still looks great even there. Living in an area with plenty of twisty roads I did not expect the center of the tire to wear that quickly, but I guess I do too much straight-line riding anyway. Shrug. This is my first sporty bike, so maybe I am just having a rude awakening. A few questions:
1) Could this have been an inflation issue? I check the pressure basically every time I ride, and kept the rear on 42 as directed. I wonder if that was too much...
2) Or do these tires just wear that quickly? Reading through previous posts it doesn't seem uncommon at all, but then I'll see someone say they got 8k out of theirs.
3) Given that I am not an aggressive sport rider and that I apparently am doing too much straight-line, then what tire would be a good one that would be more touring than sport? Seems like everyone talks about good sport and/or rain performance, but not so much touring. I only ride in the rain if I get caught out, and my internal sport rider is apparently less Rossi, and more Pussy, than I imagined. I guess I need "touring sport" tires rather than "sport touring".
Has anyone found a fender eliminator / tail tidy for the 8th gen yet ? I have been search online for a little while now with no success. I am interested in what other 8th gen owners may have found.
Hello all
Haven't been on the forums here for a while, since I sold my 2007 25th VFR in 2011. Didn't have a bike until I purchased this 2015 Deluxe a few weeks ago. It had 1,600 miles on it, so its broken in and essentially new. I look forward to lurking and reading all the knowledge here.
Keep the rubber side down all.
I was reading the other PMR handle bar switch Topic and saw the goldwing switch box mentioned by JZH.
I thought it looked very close to the shape of the 8th Gen and I started doing some research. The gasket and plate under the clutch reservoir lid have the same exact part numbers listed on BikeBandit, leading me to believe at the very least the two reservoirs have the same bolt dimensions.
I found it online at JPCycles and other sites, but I took a chance and ordered it from my local Honda dealership. They did warn me about electronics being nonreturnable, but I was fairly confident it would work, and it arrived the next day. I got it for $60.33 out the door. Part number 52-705LMA. For the black clutch side switch box.
Im stoked to say it worked out.
Installation was easy:
Remove the two bolts from the reservoir lid and leave the gasket and plate in place.
Place the switch box on top.
Place included weather gasket on top of the box.
Place original lid on top.
Then, bolt it down with the included longer bolts.
It’s been on my bike for about 100 miles now. I haven't experienced any leaks or any problems at all. The switch box has plenty of clearance along the windshield and upper fairing, even with the .9 inch MotoPumps bar risers.
The wires routed down the side of the switch box and I followed the clutch line to the side of the bike. I was able to tuck all the wires away under the tank.
I swapped the middle rocker switch for a momentary switch. I was hoping to place it far right, but the switch I bought was too long and the metal for the bolt-through-hole blocked it. The momentary button was to build in a garage remote. 🙃
Instead of wiring the the switch box to the battery, I wired the positive end all the way back to the license plate light, so my garage wouldn’t open when bike is off.
I used one switch to switch the relay for the Clearwater Darla lights (I’m in love with these lights). And I still have an open switch for whatever future accessory I may stumble upon.

Hi Folks
Had a new set of tyres fitted a couple of days ago and now the bike is really hard to move. The chain tension is fine and there doesn't appear to be any drag from the brakes. However, even with the bike on the centre stand, there is absolutely no free movement of the wheel.
Any suggestions as to what the tyre fitters might have done to cause this and, more importantly, what I need to do to fix it??
Hi All.
After 57,000ks and with a 1800k upcoming trip, thought I'd replace the original front pads. I've always been a fan of the EBC HH's and 9,000ks ago I replaced the rear pads with EBC FA488HH's.
A few days ago I fitted two sets of EBC FA390HH's ($59.95 a set AU!) to the front, I have to say, I am very impressed with these new pads, there is just so much less effort on the brake lever required for the same amount of braking compared to the original Tokico pads.
Just thought I'd pass this snippet of info on, EBC HH's are a great brake pad, so impressed I won't use anything else. YMMV.
Cheers.
Just installed Asv f3 levers and noticed that the rpm increase letting off clutch in first has disappeared. Anyone else notice this? Did I miss something on the install?
Hey guys. So potential lead on a full system for 8th gens and any models they fit over to.
Coffman has started doing full systems starting with a Grom.
I've contacted them and they said they'd be happy to work on one. I offered to mail mine in but they need the bike on site as well.
The exhaust pipes would be mandrel bent and made of stainless steel.
They're located in Ukiah California. I told. Them. I'd get the I formation out there if anyone wanted to loan their bike for a bit.
This would get us something without the garbage collector the Delkelvic has.
