I've owned my 2014 for a little less then a year and I'm thinking it may be time to sell. Not for any other reason other then my kids are beyond keeping me busy. I'm in WI, bought the bike for 8k out the door with the unlimited mileage warranty for 5 years. I am hoping some here would chime in on an asking price? The bike has no damage and has roughly 1800 miles. Only mod I have done is the risers.
May sell my '14
16,000 mile service
Everybody had the valve check undertaken at 16,000 miles. Some independents are saying leave till 32,000 miles. Been quoted between £500 - £800. Anybody found they need adjustment at 16,000?
8Th Gen Tail Tidy
Has anyone found a fender eliminator / tail tidy for the 8th gen yet ? I have been search online for a little while now with no success. I am interested in what other 8th gen owners may have found.
Mystery washers found
During slow speed manuvers practice, I set her down at 2-3 MPH. Damage to farings = 0🙏. Minor scratch to TRex slider and exterior of one mirror, virtually unnoticeable!
I found a few washers after I picked her up. The washers my have been in the parking-lot already, not sure. I heard nothing come loose or rattle. Bike runs perfect 👌.
*My question is anybody know where the washers in attached photo may be from?

Air Intake Flapper Removal and Tidy Up
Exhaust
I am looking at replacing my exhaust. I do have the oem saddlebags, so I am wondering some options. I have looked them all up, got some ideas but I am looking for photos more than anything. I would love to show that rear tire more. I think Coffman has the shortest and the cheapest, however two brothers looks good but it shows it two different ways, at an angle or up and straight out I am guessing for the hard bags. Any photos and suggestions would help.
Ignition sistem
Hi guys, please help!
I bought a bike from guy who don't have a keys from bike,
Honda VFR 800 2014,
The locking sistem is damaged cause someone tried to stole it.
Now I bought this bike without fairings, broken locking sistem, without a bought of keys...
And I don't know what is the best to do, cause in the Honda dealer they told me that we can't turn of the H.I.S.S. sistem in ECU of my bike...and I don't believe him!
And they want a 2000€ (2500 dollars) to pair my new locking sistem with my old ECU.
What should I do?
Please help if you can
Hoe to start up the bike (i know trick with conecting two wires (+/-) from locking sistem) but I'm not sure if that works on Honda H.I.S.S.
Help! 😎
Eliminating passenger footrest assemblies
I have an 8th Gen (2014) which I just installed a shorty Coffman exhaust. I never plan on having a passenger (I have 2 other bikes for that). So I really have no need for the passenger footrest assemblies. I think it will really open the rear wheel up since I did a tail tidy and the short GP pipe. I have yet to have any of the plastics removed for any reason. Is there a particular method of best removing the body panels so I can get access to the passenger footrest assemblies? It appears the bolts that secure them are hidden up behind the bodywork.

Suspension
Hy, I own Honda VFR 800 2014, and I would like to put USD forks..
But, the problem is "Traction/ABS" Sensor and I Can't find some forks which will be the same as the OEM,
And what happens with my ABS sistem if we change the wheel, breaking Disc, and other stuff...
If someone knows answers, please let me know

Chain Mileage
How much mileage have you gotten out of your original chain?
I'm at about 16,000 miles and the links are getting tight. Before you ask, I'm regular about lubing the chain with the 3m teflon stuff and its adjusted correctly.
Viffer no more...
Quickshifter
Healthtech Quickshifter?
I've been considering getting the Honda Quickshifter for a while and was going to pick one up for the riding season. However, I keep seeing negative comments around the lever feeling different and the extra hardware forcing a slightly different foot position. I happened upon a thread that mentioned the Healtech quickshifter which fits our bikes. From the sound of it, it should address the issues people ran into with the Honda quickshifter since it uses all the stock components and just adds a control box and a pressure sensor.
Has anyone used one of these on the 8th gen? I don't do a ton of full throttle runs, but i do manual clutchless shifting often on my rides with normal throttle and am hoping this would be a good solution (even if it is slightly more expensive).
Grips issue
Anyone experienced abnormal grips consumption ?
I’ve got 25.000 km under the belt and the left grip is gone, I’ve got Honda changing both under warranty tomorrow

Diagnostic help
Hello, im looking for a bit of advice regarding an issue that has come up on my 2014 VFR, a few days ago I was stopped at an intersection and I noticed the TC and engine lights had come on, power was a bit down on take off and it sputtered a bit, later that day after work, no lights, next morning as I was taking it in to get checked, same issue, but it actually stalled a few times on take off, the dealer checked it out and was unable to fail for three days before they managed to get a fault code for the front wheel speed sensor. TL;DR the symptoms I experienced don't seem to me to be a result from a wheel speed sensor, but more like a TPS, I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue and may have a solution, also the dealer has quoted me two hours to change the sensor, seems excessive, anyone sure if that is actually how long it takes? Sorry for the long post but I felt context was needed, thanks in advance for the advice.
First Gear Clutch Rev-Assist
I know it has been discussed before, but not to what extent.
As we know, while slipping the lever out in first, the bike raises rpm from idle to help with starting. What is the mechanism that causes this? Clutch switch? or a switch perhaps actuated by the slave cylinder?
I would like to know, because I would like to be able to go back to two-fingering the lever. I used to, on other bikes, but even with my average sized hands, pulling the lever back to touch my ring and pinky, the revs increase a 100 rpm or so. I do not want to be unnecessarily slipping the clutch, so I have long since stopped the behavior. That said, while in gear, there is no discernible push forward while in first, and tholding with just two fingers.
